Anemic offenses

I am in 2 ROLs and minus a few big plays, my offenses seem to be fairly stagnant. Is there any correlation between personnel; coach; coaching offense?

i would think JDB 's message in your who is calling plays can answer this question too

Your HC coaching style just gives you additional plays for his style that the other coaches don't have. The game planning is the same as if you hit "recommend" for everything - the AI takes your roster vs their roster into account as well as your own play success to choose which plays to use, but there is minimal difference to the underlying gameplanning code. This will hopefully change in the future, but it is a lower priority to a few other things; so yeah, at this point I don't know that you should spend a ton of time worrying about your HC coaching style in a roster-only league.

Here is my 2 cents worth. Tell me if I am wrong.

First, the default coaching gameplans are pretty horrible. This is what keeps scores down and drives veteran coaches crazy. In a regular league, if you see something amiss, you just write a rule to correct it. In a Roster Only league, all you can do is roll your eyes.

Second, many of the Roster Only leagues are in their infancy. So, many key offensive players are not yet fully developed and their play knowledge is pretty low.

Third, the talent (should be) fairly even across the league until the third season. During the third season, you begin to see more separation between the good and bad teams. As the good teams accumulate better players and the bad teams begin losing them (because the coaches aren't paying attention), the offensive skill level of the good teams will increase.

I just wonder (aside from player development) what the difference is then between a 85 rated HC and a 70 rated. If playbooks arent a factor is game management a key? Are the higher rated coaches the one going to the playoffs? Just a random thought ,,

Did we ever really get an answer to this question?

Hope is JDB read this .. Lol

I will say this, I paid handsomely for a new HC in both my leagues. To this point, I've lost one game (and 1 tie).

Yes, I just jinxed myself for tonight's game ..

Your players will develop faster under higher rated coaches. Players also get a minor boost during the game based on their coaching hierarchy (50% head coach, 30% coordinator, 20% position coach in both cases)
