Congrats Detroit on parlaying one excellent CB into three first round selections + a solid LB + a younger WR.

I have done all my preaching against these kinds of trades for many seasons now, more often than not the owner who makes the trades isnt around to worry about the loss of draft picks. I am not saying I havnt traded players away for first round picks because I have but I wont keep doing it to keep getting an influx of good young talent just to trade away again for more first round picks. I really want other teams to get picks and make the leagues better competitively than loading up on 1st and 2nd round picks every season. I prefer being aggressive through FA where everyone is on the same bidding field.

Everyone can get cap space as I have told how on numerous leagues now including on one of the main forum topics

Just joined this league. In looking at the competition, what I found was 5 or 6 teams that were head and shoulders above all the others. In order to compete I elected to drop the build by the draft method and decided the build for now. All those strong teams have more future picks than I do. I would never catch up that way.
Being that my team does have some strengths to work with I decided to make them better now. And be aggressive about free agents.
I'm sorry this has upset some owners and I can see why it would as you all have a six team war going on for the championship. And this trade may have made the defending champs stronger in the future. But keep in mind he did just trade away a Super star WR and CB.
For me I had an opportunity to get these two amazing players. I just paid what they are worth.
I'm just trying to be competitive in an unbalanced league. And he did not get 3 first round picks in this trade.

Hope to see you in the play-offs....Pedro11

I think both teams made excellent trades! I also think other teams wish they had made the trades. Kudos to both teams for trying to make their teams better.

As long as you stick it out then I have np problems with the trades. I have talked and dealt with you in other leagues and sorry for previous remark, I didnt even look at who owned that team.

My apolagies to you and DetroitLeo

This trade as well as the other trade with Detroit. Well the were block buster trades to be sure. I'm glad we both had the courage to do them. Any trade involving top players is going to raise some emotions and stir opinions. Imagine what ESPN would be doing on a similar set of trades. Heads would be exploding.

In any event no need to apologize at all no offense was taken at all. You as well as Chicago's owner have both been nothing but class owners in my dealing with you. This is just one of those situations that make a game like this fun and exciting, you guys just added to that. The point that were made a truly valid. If we're lucky maybe we'll hear from other owners as well.

In the end it's how it all plays out on the field. Like the Hershal Walker trade to the Vikings. Dallas loaded up and won some Super Bowls.
