Not sure why I wouldn't call a timeout there at the end after your 3rd down play. Luckily I got a good punt return to setup the GW FG.

I really hate when the sim chooses to call comeback plays on 3rd and long. 3rd and 18 and I throw a 3yrd comeback on a long pass play, when you dont want a check down he throws it..lol

I agree. It would be nice if the AI had some sense of the game situation. That happens to me all the time when I am in hurry up at the end of the game, trying to make a comeback.
