Very strange trade....

only thing I can think of is that San Francisco 49ers is 1-4 which they are tied with Cincinnati Bengals , Green Bay Packers , Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs for 2nd worst record in the league behind Atlanta Falcons , Baltimore Ravens , Dallas Cowboys , Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans so maybe the New Orleans Saints think that maybe the 49ers will have the worst record in the league which with that would improve that round 2 pick as the 1st , 2nd , 3rd or 4th pick in the round

Very intelligent thinking ... that is exactly the thought process. I had a LDE to burn and the #2 pick from the lowest ranked team in the league should provide an early 2nd rd draft pick.

More like you took advantage of someone and now you are trying to make up a reason as it was a intelligent thinking.

I mean if you thought that way WHY not try to trade with all the teams that are winless or just have 1 win??

I think people would have more respect for you if you had traded with say a team that wouldn't have so high draft pick

Respect? Are you serious? If anyone wants to trade me a player, a #2 and a #3 draft pick for a #2 draft pick that I own - shoot me the offer - I'll accept. That trade was clearly in his favor and I paid dearly to (potentially) move up in the second round of the 2022 draft.
