Rent or Sign For Long Term

I have the following players, all on 1 Year contracts, available to be acquired:

QB N. Ledonne 82/86
QB A. Hickman 70/70

WR K. Shimizu 90/94

LT R. Austin 84/87

RT T. Johnson 99/100

I also have a few cheap backups on 1 year deals with cap hits of 1m or less.

With $100 million + in cap room, I expect I will have little difficulty signing most of the ones I want to keep to extensions, but wanted to offer contenders & teams positioning themselves to contend players they could rent or sign for long term use.

Mostly interested in draft picks, and young upside players with long contracts. And of course the value has to be quite fair (so offering a package with value of 600 to get a player valued at 850 would be a waste of time).

I wouldn't be so worried about the Ai generated "value" of a player, unless your evaluation of players is the same as the Ai's (in which case I would worry about you).

I evaluate each offer I make and receive based on how I view the trade, not the Ai.

I rarely worry about anything involving this sim. :)

However you have to take the systems valuations into consideration when making a trade offer, just like you would when buying a car, goods or services. You might only want to pay X amount for a player, but if the system puts a value of Y, it might not process the trade.

In any case I am talking more about the 4 quarters equal a dollar dilemma, than the exact value rated by the system or using it as the gospel. We all have a desire to acquire our assets at the least expensive cost possible - but some times trying to buy low comes across as buying at a deep discount, and that is the essence of what I am referring to. I was simply using the system values as an example.

Besides if you have seen some of the trades that go down I think it is safe to say none of us really worry about the values other to ensure trades can be processed. ;)
