This will be my 2nd season and have yet to sign ANY free agent during the free agency period. No matter how much over the requested offer I go, no one will sign. They sit there for all the free agent periods.

Someone please help me understand. Am I doing something wrong? Is this broken or rigged for certin top teams to get the players?

I have enjoyed most of the aspects of the game but can see how owners leave the game as only the long term owners seem to be able to get free agents.

Any advice or looking into the issue would be appreciated. Right now I have 4 player which have been waiting for 3 weeks in free acency with way more than they asked for. Same thing happened last season!

In my experience, difference in contract length and bonus has a LOT to do with it. I don't get a lot of guys to sign with me because the ones who are getting them typically run into real bad cap problems.

I signed a QB during this offseason. I gave him a huge bonus and overpaid him because I need him. I got shut out on defense because everyone is handing out mega contracts.

makes more sense. I was requesting shorter contracts and with big totals but smaller % signing bonus.

Yeah that'll do it. Take a look at the contracts that your targets signed.
