Agreed. I wish I knew the new owner was going to be like this; I might have really made some changes to my team. I wish also I'd learned a little some lessons about this game quicker and was a little more paying attention to details. It's tough trying to win and rebuild at the same time. This draft is going to help.

Oakland has had the best draft by far imo.

I'm happy with my choices, I've been waiting for a couple years to land a really good young QB and I was fine taking one at the end of the first round. Got a nice Dlineman with my second pick.

Oakland got a guy who should've been a top 2 pick easily at 13, then in the second round got a few DT's who could end up being high 90's after TC.

Though I agree Herrington slid too far, I just can't see myself drafting a TE in the first round unless I'm converting him. But I've loved Oakland's draft. If volatility doesn't kill his ratings he's got 4 starters in the first two rounds.

I totally agree with you that Oakland has the best draft so far; I'm not sure I can think of anyone that has had a draft close to it and even looking at it I'm sure no one's really close. Oakland drafted 4 of my top 23 on my board and 5 of my top 28. Even the one pick not ranked up there was a good pick if he especially needed LB's as the LB group is almost depleted in this draft.

I'd argue he could have as many as 5. I like my choices. I went down a bit on my draft board to fit a need with Grimes. I debated on that for a while with the top guy on my board. Ultimately, I felt uncomfortable drafting Schultze, who went the next pick, since he was just a poor man's version of the man I traded away and there's still quality at that position and I have 2 of the 1st 3 picks. It's kind of scary with all of these players that are still on the board that are good and Oakland has a boatload of picks in this round.

I'm always a little wary of taking QB's who don't have much speed. Unless you have an awesome Oline and stay away from calling pass plays that send 5 receivers out, you open yourself up to games where the QB can get sacked 10-15 times.

Grimes looks like a solid risk/reward at that point. If he hits he could be a steal for a late 2nd rounder. If he busts he's still got the physical attributes that make a quality backup.
