Mainly I think it was BS that he held on to the ball for so long and instead of eventually throwing it away he took the game-losing safety.
I've seen this exact thing many times (among other examples). Players have no awareness at all of game situation or field position.
It would have still stung, but I would have been ok if this was a situation where the D got to my QB quickly and took him down before he could have gotten rid of the ball. That wasn't the case here.
I just wish what had been a great game up until that point had been decided in a different fashion, but it doesn't really matter.
