I always try to draft BPA, **** I had 4 guys that are 95+ on the defensive line and still took a DE in the first round both last season and this season. I do like pass rushers though.

Yes, you got good value from that well traveled pick that was originally Minnesota's and was in Chicago and Seattle's possession before you picked with it.

So far, you're definitely one of the top 5 winners of the draft. Don't put me down as liking the 1st pick though. He was barely under consideration in my opinion for my pick and that was if the draft went terribly for me. I like the 2 that went after him better than he did and I think he's actually only slightly better than the guy San Diego got in the late 2nd. Martin, that Kansas City drafted, was actually the next WR on my board. To be honest, I regret I didn't go with Napier on my 1st pick, though might have went with Keys too and then drafted Joseph Smith and hoped to get a solid WR with my next pick, which would have happened.

I usually try and draft best player available, but free agency and retirements took a toll so I'm just plugging the holes to keep my ship from sinking. If I had with my 1st 1st rounder, you wouldn't have got Howes and I'd have moved him to LT.

Napier would have been a terrible pick he only has 10 speed, people underrate what speed at the DT position can do in this sim.

For reference, I got 40 sacks last season out of the DT position.

I believe that. I actually don't underestimate it. It's just hard to find DT with speed unless you convert DE's. However, a disruptive force can't be underestimated either. In other news (maybe not serious) and speaking of a disruptive force, I drafted the steal of the draft with the 24th pick of the 7th round. Yes, Benjamin "Jabba" Hutt I promised a spot on my roster, though he'll be inactive all year barring injuries. My scouting department tells me he's a real battler and he's not afraid of a good fight. He got a degree in business management and had a very high GPA. His girlfriend was described as a princess named Leia. Rumor has it that Benjamin is a sloppy kisser, which prompted me to tell the scouting department that they gave me way too detailed of a report.

Converting DEs to DT is what I do for almost all of my started DTs.
