The trick is to look over someone's roster, identify weaknesses, and offer young but experienced players that will prove to be significant upgrades over who they currently have.

With a pick this far out, I expect Oakland is gambling that they'll be improved enough by the end of the 2019 season that the draft pick in question will be a mid to later round selection, in which case I'd say he got good value, based off my own custom ratings for players. If you disagree, I'd suggest looking at the end of the first and top of the second from this year's draft; it isn't very pretty. And any way you spin it, like Detroit said, I think turning one pick four seasons down the road into three immediate starters (all for insanely cheap and long contracts since I ate all of their guaranteed money) is hard to call a bad haul.

Simply put, I wouldn't send out a trade offer (unless I'm responding to someone else's) that I wouldn't at least seriously consider were I the owner of their team. Maybe you personally disagree, which is good, otherwise we'd all have the exact same philosophies and tactics and then we'd just be playing a fancy game of RNG, but I think some folk (*cough*Sardeen*cough*) need to tamp down on their accusations and name calling whenever they don't like a trade. Especially considering your idea of a 'fair' trade seems to be all of my best players for a pittance :P

I think my comment may have been misunderstood. I was not criticizing you. I see you accumulate a lot of 1st round picks, and I wish I had the same luck at pulling off trades.

I'm probably just too reluctant to part with players that are any good because of the quality of the drafts. That may change if the draft classes improve as we've been promised.

Again, I meant my comment more as a compliment than anything else.

I am allowed to comment using my opinion on any trade i wish to. I did not report the trade therefore clearly do not feel strong enough about it.

As for the second part i will answer this two ways. 1) am I not in essence using the same strategy you tried using on me? 2) even your best players are only worth a pittance to mine. Bahahahaha

As the new Oakland owner I wish to assure everyone that had I been the owner at the time this trade offer would have been rejected and not accepted. :)
